GRACE HAVEN UPDATES
Our update on our Christ-centered affordable housing program for the homeless, called Grace Haven, highlights a wonderful chance to glorify God and disciple men. Each week, the guys engage in Bible studies, church services, and devotions. Additionally, we host men's events at the church, with the Lord Jesus actively involved in their lives.
I would like to just talk about a few God stories that have happened at Grace Haven.
TOM -
Tom was among the first people to arrive at Grace Haven. He was moving from couch to couch and was close to homelessness, and at that time, he was not following the Lord. Around eight months later, he recommitted his life to Christ, bought a new life application Bible, and even gave a sermon at Hope Chapel.
One day, Tom felt ill and went to the emergency room, where he was diagnosed with stage four colon cancer. Initially, I believed he came to Grace Haven to spend his last days, but I now understand he came to renew his faith in Christ and show his transformation to his family. He is now with Jesus.
It took a while to realize that Tom already had cancer when he arrived at Grace Haven, but he was brought there for a reason.
Our house manager took care of Tom until the end, showing the love of Christ. The church, everyone at Grace Haven, and the staff of 2 Act Ministries fully supported Tom until his passing.
JOSE - We really love Jose, Jose knew of the Lord and was kind of following the Lord but was not going to church. When he went to Northpointe Community Church, the church that we ask everyone to attend, three months later he decided to get baptized. Now of course that's not our doing that is the Lord's doing. Jose did get baptized & he signed up to go to school to be an aviation mechanic and next month he is going back home with his family. He was sleeping in his car when he came to Grace Haven, now he is walking with the Lord going to school and will soon be reunited with this family.
DAVE -
Dave, who was homeless, attended a service at Northpointe Community Church. After the service, he mentioned his situation to someone there, and the church contacted me. Due to Dave's enthusiasm, we got him into Grace Haven the next day. Motivated and eager for a chance, Dave now has his ID, Social Security card, and a phone, and is looking for work. Meanwhile, he has been actively helping us at Grace Haven with updates and painting. We are grateful for God bringing Dave into our path.
THOMAS - Thomas was homeless at the Salvation Army, we go to the Salvation Army every Thursday and Thomas was there for Chapel services and heard that we have Christian transitional housing. Thomas did not like it at the shelter and he was on Social Security, after Thomas called we got him into Grace Haven. He has been intending all the church services, all the men's events and is seeking the Lord actively. He has now acquired a part time job and 2 Act Ministries is actively helping him to repair his credit helping him to start saving money and find income based housing for him.

We would also like to express our gratitude to Just Serve for their support and for showcasing the work God is doing at Grace Haven. We recently received an award from Just Serve for our efforts. All glory goes to God, and we are truly thankful. This achievement is entirely about the Lord's work, not ours.
2 ACT MINISTRIES PREVENTING HOMELESSNESS
Preventing homelessness often involves providing rental assistance. If an individual can demonstrate proof of income and a hardship, we may offer rental assistance to help them avoid becoming homeless.
For those who are currently homeless, the biggest obstacle is often the deposit. They might have enough for rent but not for the deposit. In many cases, if a homeless person can find a place to live and prove they can afford it, we will assist with the deposit. Additionally, if someone has minor addiction or mental health issues, we can arrange for sober and transitional housing.
This requires funding, but it is a worthwhile investment to prevent someone from entering the homeless system. It's crucial to remember that once someone becomes homeless, it is much more challenging to provide assistance.

OUTREACH
At 2 Act Ministries, we go into the community to build lasting relationships with individuals experiencing homelessness. While we provide food, hygiene items, clothing, and other essentials, our mission goes far beyond meeting immediate needs. We share the Gospel of Jesus Christ, connect people with housing and community resources, offer encouragement and prayer, and walk alongside them as they work toward leaving homelessness behind and rebuilding their lives with hope and dignity.
As a nonprofit, we recognize that the presence of homeless individuals in our parks is not ideal. It's understandable that they gravitate towards areas with shade and grass. When we visit the parks, we not only clean up any existing mess but also ensure the area is left cleaner than when we arrived. Our ultimate aim goes beyond spreading the Gospel and providing essentials. Through our outreach efforts, we have successfully helped many people transition off the streets and out of the parks.
We provide resources including transitional housing, sober living, free drug and alcohol programs, mental health resources, tickets home, deposit assistance, and many other options to help individuals leave the streets.
